  • Job Title: Valuation Surveyor

    Reporting to: Head of Valuation


    Job Purpose: We are looking for a valuation surveyor who will work on a commission basis to join our team of surveyors.


    As a commissioned valuation surveyor, you will be expected to associate with our company and will be registered under the VRB as a PMCL Group Valuer.


    Your role will be to estimate the present value of assets by interpreting the market and applying appropriate rates using relevant methods. You are expected to work professionally adhering to ethical and professional standards and helping in fostering and maintaining good client relationships.


    Skills that we are looking for:


    Strong verbal and written communication skills in Swahili and English

    Strong numerical skills

    Proficient in Microsoft software including Word, Excel, and Outlook

    Good local geographical and market knowledge

    Related legal and regulatory knowledge

    Accurate and detailed report writing skills

    Good negotiation skills

    Flexibility, adaptability and client focused

    Ability to maintain working relationships with colleagues and clients

    Ability to prioritise and undertake a range of tasks with a positive, flexible attitude and willingness to work as a team

    Ability to work independently effectively

    Achieve and maintain a high level of customer service and promote exceptional customer care standards at all times

    You will be expected to:

    Key responsibilities under the role:


    Property Valuation:

    Conduct accurate and detailed valuation assessments of commercial, industrial and residential properties to determine value for various purposes.


    Other Asset Valuations:

    Carry out valuation on other assets to determine value on a needs basis.


    Market Analysis:

    Analyse market trends, sales data, and economic indicators toe enhance accuracy of valuations.


    Report and documentation :

    Prepare comprehensive valuation reports for clients, banks and government entities that are accurate and well supported by documentation.


    Regulatory Compliance:

    Ensure valuations comply with legal and regulatory standards.


    Peer Review and teamwork:

    Contribute to peer valuations to ensure high quality of valuations are produced by the company at all times.


    Dispute Resolutions:

    Where required participate as an expert witness in legal disputes regarding property value.


    Client Interaction:

    Engage with clients to understand their valuation needs.


    Qualification:


    PRV and FRV.


    Working Conditions:

    Travel may be required to work sites

    Your hours will be divided between office work and field work.

    On some occasions long hours may be required to meet project deadlines.

    Job Purpose: We are looking for a front office representative who will manage the office entrance area.

    As a front office representative you will be working in a dynamic environment to support daily operations of the company. As you will be the first person our clients encounter, you will be expected to present a clean, friendly and professional atmosphere.

    Skills that we are looking for:

    Ability to be resourceful and pro-active

    Strong verbal and written communication in Swahili and English

    Organisational skills

    Time management skills

    Ability to listen patiently and solve client issues timely and effectively

    Interpersonal skills as you interact with both internal and external stakeholders.

    Key responsibilities under the role:

    Front office management:

    Greeting visitors, clients, and employees as soon as they arrive at the office.

    Creating a welcoming environment and ensuring a clean and pleasant reception area at all times.

    Communication:

    answering phone calls, managing enquiries and directing them to the appropriate departments and person.

    Scheduling and Bookings :

    Organising appointments and meetings, maintaining calendars for board members, management and staff.

    Arrange travel and accommodation for staff when required.

    Administration Support:

    Handling correspondence, managing files and performing basic clerical duties including data entry.

    Customer Service:

    Addressing visitor needs, providing information about services offered by the company and resolving issues.

    Security:

    Maintaining office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception area.

    To maintain and monitor visitor’s logbook.

    Qualification and Experience:

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

    Experience with office equipment (printers)

    Professional attitude and appearance

    A degree in business, marketing, communication or related fields is desired.
